OUR BACKGROUND

After years as a primary school teacher, I left the field and returned to university. I retrained as a Landscape Architect and set up my own Landscape Design business. 

I absolutely loved this new life, meeting new people, transforming people's gardens and improving their worlds. I was soon hired to transform the bland gardens of a local property investor, Rob Jones, it was love at first sight !

Our businesses grew together and so did we as a family, I decided to sell my landscape business when our first was born. 

My focus, our new family and I became a nanny for a wonderful family for many years. My 2 and their 2 became my 4 little monkeys, we were a team, but I always planned to start landscaping again. 

However, my plans started to change...

Rob and I both love a simple life, being immersed in nature, minimal tech and choose to work smart but for our holidays we choose luxury (boutique).

Once the children came along we wanted to explore the UK with them (so the children could appreciate our amazing country) and we thought booking a holiday home was the perfect answer, but it wasn’t. 

Trying to find a combination of clean, comfortable, full of amenities, private outdoor space with a bit of luxury (that is also truly ‘child friendly’) was impossible, ahhhhh !!!

As we tried to holiday with 2 young children my business dream changed, I planned on creating that perfect holiday home combo. I dipped my toe in the water in 2016 running my first holiday home in Manchester and I loved it, 

I found a new passion (alongside my 4 monkeys) I really buzzed from the amazing reviews, running a business again and the interaction with guests,

Once it was time to finishing my nanny days (all my monkeys were at school now), we moved to Chester and I made my new business official, Pause UK Ltd was born. 

I then bought and refurbished a new place in city-centre Chester and 'Enjoy the Pause' opened its doors in 2019.
