What a cookie is

A cookie is a small data file placed on a device by a website. Cookies can support essential functions, remember preferences, measure visits or help create advertising profiles. Similar storage and tracking technologies are covered by the same principles in this policy.

Cookies we set

The rebuilt Enjoy the Pause information website does not set analytics, advertising, social-media or personalisation cookies. It does not use Google Analytics, GA4, gtag, advertising pixels or cross-site remarketing tags.

Cloudflare and the hosting layer may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms to deliver and protect the site. These are not used by Enjoy the Pause to build an advertising profile.

Cookieless audience measurement

Matomo records aggregate page visits and selected link actions so Paula can understand whether the website is useful. Cookies are disabled before page measurement, Do Not Track is honoured, and the configuration does not create a persistent visitor identity or support cross-site advertising.

When the contact form is enabled, Cloudflare Turnstile loads on that page to distinguish genuine submissions from automated spam. Its token is checked once by the Worker before an email can be sent; it is not used by Enjoy the Pause for advertising or cross-site profiling.

The booking system

Checking dates or completing a reservation opens a separate booking system. That provider may use cookies or local storage needed for availability, occupancy, payment and security. Its own notice and controls apply once you leave this website.

Other external services

Maps, Instagram, Facebook and any other external site have their own cookie and privacy rules. Simply seeing a link here does not place that service's optional cookies on your device; following the link may do so under the destination's rules.

Your browser controls

You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage on an external booking or payment service may prevent part of that service from working correctly.
