Who can leave a review
We welcome reviews from guests who have stayed at Enjoy the Pause, and about your experience contacting or booking with Paula. You must be over 18 to leave a review.
After a direct stay, Paula may invite you to leave feedback. If you booked through Google, Booking.com, Airbnb or Freetobook, that platform runs its own review process and its rules apply there.
We never pay for or incentivise reviews
Paula does not offer money, discounts, free nights, gifts or any other incentive in exchange for a review, and never asks for a positive one. Every review, good or critical, should simply reflect a guest's genuine experience.
What a review should be
To be fair to future guests and to Paula, a review should reflect your own real stay or dealing with us.
- Based on your genuine experience, whether positive or negative
- Not paid for or incentivised in any way
- Not about a business you are connected to or have an interest in
- Not a duplicate or an attempt to distort the overall rating
Where reviews appear and how the scores are worked out
This website may show individual guest reviews and an overall picture, such as an average rating and a total number of reviews across the platforms Paula uses. Any headline figure is a genuine, dated snapshot drawn from all qualifying reviews in the period shown, not a hand-picked selection of the kindest ones.
Because new stays are completed all the time, live totals move. The dated figure on this website gives context; the review platforms themselves remain the live record. Critical reviews based on a real experience are never hidden or deleted to flatter the average.
Reporting a review you think is fake
If you believe a review shown by Paula is fake, incentivised without disclosure, or otherwise breaks the standards above, please tell her using the contact route on this website so she can look into it.
If the review is on Google, Booking.com, Airbnb or Freetobook, please also report it through that platform, because they control reviews published on their own site.
Report a review to PaulaHow a suspicious review is handled
Paula monitors reviews for Enjoy the Pause and looks into any that are reported. Where a review is clearly fake or breaks these standards, it is removed or not published, and it is left out of any overall rating or count. Where more information is needed, she investigates before deciding, and may contact the reviewer.
If a reviewer is found to have left one review that breaks the standards, further reviews from them may also be removed. If you disagree with a decision, you can raise it through the complaints route and Paula will look again.
